My Drawing Journal
From paper to digital, and from imitation to creating
For me, drawing is a wonderful thing. I can draw a character to support and show my love to it. Or creating my characters to write a story about them.
I have drawn since I was little. At first, I would draw some cute items or animals to kill time. After I started to watch Japanese animations, I was attracted by those beautiful characters.
That’s how I started my drawing journal.
My first drawing of animation characters is Pokémon. Since Pokémon is easy and not so complex to practice, I tried to imitate its shape and color. But those paintings disappeared after I moved home QWQ.
With those practicing, I gradually started to draw humans.
In high school, I met my friend who teaches and creates characters with me. We not only write their stories but also change the clothes as a doll. We usually call and chat about what stories will be discussed today. Sometimes we use the bot in Discord to role play our characters. Until now, I think maybe it was those stories that made my Chinese compositions become better at that time.
As you can see, I practiced drawing these little guys. I think the most challenging thing for me is drawing the proper size of body and head. If one part is too big or small, it will look too strange.

My high school teacher asked us to write a journal twice a week. If there was some place left, I would draw some little drawings beside my journal. This is one of them. That day was Halloween. So I drew my characters and let them role play.
Not only humans, I drew a few little comics to record the funny moments of my games.
On the left side, this was when I practiced how to use a fireball to push me up. My brother was very good at using this skill. I tried again and again but still failed. Although my brother taught me. I didn't seem to get the technique.

The other is telling the prize we got from a box. Because in that game, you could get various items from a box called “lucky block”. I was so unlucky in this game since I always got things that debuff our team. On the other hand, my brother obtained different powerful weapons. I laughed and said why my fortune was so bad. And that was how this drawing came.

I practiced those drawings on paper the most. One reason was that it was the method I am familiar with, the other was that it was easy to get the tool since I only needed one pencil and a few pieces of paper.
After I practiced more on paper, my father bought me a drawing board as a gift. I was so happy and I couldn’t wait to draw a little guy by using this new tool.

Because of this, I drew a lot of drafts and wanted to practice making a beautiful character. My drawing skill became better.
Also I collected many references to learn how to draw a beautiful body. Not only the normal size but also the cute version.

I really love magic elements and mythology. And I write a story about how they beat the demon lord in their world. I add the humans, Gods, Goddess and demons and a lot of stuff in this world. The story is progressing because too many things can be written wwww.

In this world, these five people clear the dungeon. But the king killed them. They are revived and get dark magic.
This story has a bad ending at first. But recently I want to change it to a good ending since they died once…

The other is people whose genes mix the flower, and investigators who create these people and flower killers.

From paper to digital, and from imitation to creating, I have a lot of good time with my characters. They are not only just imaginary people. Instead, they are my good friends who have accompanied me for many years.
